Study Summary:

We are conducting a study to compare the safety and efficacy of regimens of basal insulin (long acting insulin) intensified with either an investigational study medication or rapid-acting insulin in patients with Type 2 Diabetes.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 to 75 years of age
• Have Type 2 Diabetes treated with <50 units of insulin per day for <6 months or
• Not be on insulin and is a candidate for insulin therapy
• Have a HbA1C >7% and <10%
• Have a BMI >25 and <50


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Compensation for time and parking, study medications and study related articles.
