Study Summary:

Today, local doctors are conducting a medical research study evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational oral medication to see if it helps control blood sugar levels in Type 2 diabetics.

If you're having difficulty with your metformin diabetes medication, you may be eligible for this study.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 to 80 years of age
• Have been medically diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
• Be on a metformin medication alone within 8 weeks prior to screening, or have made lifestyle modifications such as diet and exercise, or are doing both (metformin medication with lifestyle modifications), but have not seen any success with lowered blood sugar levels

Qualified Participants May Receive:

Qualified participants will receive study-related medical evaluations and investigational medication at no cost. Reimbursement for time and travel will also be provided.
