Study Summary:

If you suffer from chronic knee pain due to osteoarthritis you may be interested in participating in this clinical trial. The primary purpose of this research study is to determine the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug, administered twice daily, in providing relief of pain caused by osteoarthritis.

A total of 5 office visits will take place over approximately a 4-week period during which participants will undergo evaluations including physical exams, assessment of the study joint, laboratory tests, electrocardiograms, x-rays of the knees (if not done within the past year), and follow-up osteoarthritis assessments. Participants receive an oral investigational medication twice daily for a period of 2-weeks, preceded by 1 week for the screening/assessment procedures and a follow-up visit at the completion of the 2-week treatment period.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 to 75 years of age
• Have confirmed symptoms of osteoarthritis
• Have osteoarthritis of study joint confirmed by x-ray
• Have chronic joint pain due to osteoarthritis
• Be in generally stable health
• Meet all other inclusion criteria

Qualified Participants May Receive:

If eligible, you will receive all study-related procedures at no cost to you. Compensation for travel at each visit is also provided.
