Study Summary:
Smallpox is an old enemy. Research may help it from becoming a new one.
HIV positive? You may qualify for a research study. If you are HIV positive you may be interested in being vaccinated against smallpox as part of a major research study. This research is important because currently available vaccines are unsuitable for people who are HIV positive.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be 18 to 55 years of age
Have not previously been vaccinated against smallpox
Be in good general health
Be able and willing to attend 7, 1-hour clinic visits
Qualified Participants May Receive:
Close monitoring of your health, 2 vaccinations four weeks apart, study related care at no cost, and up to $700 reimbursement for time and travel to our clinic.
