Study Summary:

We are conducting a study to test the safety and analgesic efficacy of an investigational medication in subjects with Osteoarthritis of the knee. Participation will last 53 weeks, including 26 weeks of treatment, followed by 26 weeks of follow-up, then 1 final week of post-treatment, safety follow-up.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Have Osteoarthritis of the knee
• Be currently taking NSAIDS (Non-steriodal anti-inflammatory drugs) or acetaminophen (a pain-relieving drug like Tylenol) for Osteoarthritic pain
• Be willing to stop using analgesic drugs, including acetaminophen, for 24 hours before starting the study
• Not have High Blood Pressure
• Not have Diabetes that is not well-controlled, as judged by the study doctor
• Not have have serious kidney, liver, heart, or gastrointestinal ulcer problems
• Not be allergic to aspirin, Naproxen, or any other NSAIDs


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study medication, labs, EKG, and X-rays at no charge to you.
