Study Summary:

A multi-center, placebo-controlled, double-blind, two-phase, crossover study of Nasalfent (Fentanyl, Citrate nasal spray) in the treatment of Breakthrough Cancer Pain (BTCP) in subjects taking regular opioid therapy.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be age 18 years or older
• Be taking at least 60 MG oral morphine or equivalent for persistent cancer pain
• Have 1-4 breakthrough cancer pain episodes per day
• Have an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group score of >2 and life expectancy sufficient to complete the study.


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study medication, all lab work, diagnostic studies, and any other study-related expenses. $25.00 per visit.
