Summary:

The purpose of the study is to determine if benralizumab (a brand new type of medication called) reduces COPD complications such as hospital visits and steroid use rate in patients with moderate to very severe COPD who are currently taking medications for their COPD.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be diagnosed with COPD
• Currently be on medications for COPD
• Have had at least 2 moderate or 1 severe COPD complications such as hospitalization or steroid use in the past year
• Be a current or former smoker


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Free study medications, travel assistance for all study visits, compensation for time and travel, free study-related medical exams and tests, this study is also paying for individuals current medications, in addition to the compensation for time and travel.
