Clinical Trial 2870

New York, NY 10022

Study Summary:

Approximately 28 million Americans suffer from severe, throbbing migraine headaches. For some individuals these symptoms occur only once or twice a year, yet for others headaches attack multiple times a month. These frequent and severe headaches disrupt an individual’s life, both at home and work.

Currently, approximately 17% of these migraine sufferers are treating their headaches with BUTALBITAL containing medications such as Fioricet®*. These medications produce a sedative effect that allows many individuals to cope with their migraine symptoms. There has been no clinical research to show that these potentially-addictive treatments are effective in treating migraines. Some research even states that such medications may increase the frequency of migraine headaches if used too often.

It is for this reason that medical researchers are working to develop new medications that are both safe and effective for migraine sufferers.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 to 65 years of age
• Be suffering from migraines
• Be currently treating their migraines with BUTALBITAL-CONTAINING MEDICATIONS such as Fioricet®

Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study-related testing and drug, monitoring by health care professionals, study visits and study-related health care at no cost, and possible compensation for time and travel.

Clinical trials are medical research studies designed to test the safety and/or effectiveness of new investigational drugs, devices, or treatments in humans. These studies are conducted worldwide for a range of conditions and illnesses. Learn more about clinical research and participating in a study at About Clinical Trials.
