Summary:
If you've tried Imodium and are still experiencing symptoms of abdominal pain and diarrhea, learn how you could be eligible to participate in a research study of an approved drug for Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea (IBS-D).
Local doctors are conducting a research study to evaluate eluxadoline, a medication that has been approved to treat Irritiable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea (IBS-D) in adults. The purpose of this study is to underatnd the safety and effectiveness of eluxadoline in people with IBS-D who report that prior loperamine (Imodium) did not provide adequate control of their symptoms.
Qualified Participants Must:
Be 18 to 80 years of age
Be diagnosed with IBS-D or have a history of abdominal pain and diarrhea consistent with a diagnosis of IBS-D
Have used loperamide (Imodium) in the proir 12 months, and use of loperamide did not provide adequate control of your IBS-D symptoms 
Qualified Participants May Receive:
All study-related visits, tests and treatments will be provided at no cost.
In addition, compensation for study-related time and travel my be provided.
