Summary:

Clinical research study of an investigational medication for the treatment of agitation in people with dementia of Alzheimer's type. 


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be between 65 and 90 years of age
• Have a diagnosis of probable Alzheimer's disease and must have at least ONE of the following behaviors: Physical aggession (e.g. grabbing, shoving, pushing, resisting, hitting others, scratching, biting, destroying property, samming doors), Verbal aggression (e.g.yelling, speaking in an excessively loud voice, using profanity, screaming, shouting), or Excessive motor activity (e.g. pacing, rocking, gesturing, pointing fingers, restlessness, performing repetitious mannerisms)
• Have a caregiver that is able to attend all study visits
• Not hospitalized in a mental health facility or living alone


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Compensation is availalbe for time and travel
