Summary:

 A clinical research study is being conducted to learn if an investigational medication given weekly will lower the incidence of cardiovascular events in people with overweight or obesity.  You will participate in this study up to 59 months.



To qualify you must be:

  •  45 years or older
  • Overweight or obese
  • Pre-diabetic, taking no diabetic medications
  • Have established CV disease, and experienced at least one of the following:
    • Symptomatic poor circulation in the legs (PAD), or peripheral revascularization procedure
    • Heart Attack
    • Stroke
