The cause of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is currently unknown. It is thought to result from a combination of abnormal gastrointestinal (GI) tract movements, increased awareness of bodily functions, and a disruption in the communication between the brain and the GI tract. IBS-D is irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea.

Palm Beach Research Center is enrolling patients in a new IBS-MD (Diarrhea or Mixed Symptoms) study and this may be the perfect trial for you. Not only are you given access to a Doctor throughout the entire trial, but you will get a full physical exam complete with all of the blood work and diagnostic testing that you need, and a new study medication that may help your condition. All of this is provided to you at no cost; in fact, the Pharmaceutical Sponsor pays you for your time and travel once you are enrolled into the study. Qualified Participants Must:

• Must have IBS with mostly Diarrhea
• Must be a female
• Must be between the ages of 18-70
