Summary:
Are you overweight or obese with a prior history of Cardiovascular Disease?
We are currently recruiting participants for a clinical research study to see if an FDA approved medication may reduce the risk of having cardiovascular events in non-diabetic overweight or obese patients with a prior history of a cardiovascular event.
Qualified Participants Must:
• Be 45 years of age or older
•
Have established cardiovascular disease (e.g. heart attack, stroke) OR have symptomatic peripheral arterial disease
•
Be overweight or obese with a body mass index (BMI) greater than or equal to 27 kg/m2
Qualified Participants May Receive:
- Reimbursement for time and travel
- Study-related care and study medicine at no cost (no health insurance required)
