Summary:

Having type 2 diabetes can cause many different health problems, for example chronic kidney disease (CKD). When you have CKD caused by type 2 diabetes, this is called diabetic kidney disease (DKD). DKD will become worse over several years.

A completed study showed that the medicine called semaglutide might slow down the worsening of diabetic kidney disease.

We are doing this study to look at how well semaglutide works when compared to the "summy medicine" (placebo) in slowing the worsening of DKD.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Diagnosed with diabetes type 2


Qualified Participants May Receive:

- Compensation for time and travel expenses

- Study related procedures such as blood work and ECG

- Physcial performed by a board certified physician
