Study Summary:

Migraine headaches are painful, throbbing headaches that last from 4 to 72 hours. When you have a migraine, it may be so painful that you are not able to do your usual activities; 90% of people can't function normally with a migraine headache.

Certain triggers may cause a migraine to start. Your triggers may be different from someone else's. Some of the common triggers include:

  • Stress.
  • Not eating.
  • Poor sleep habits.
  • A change from your normal routine.
  • Red wine.
  • Cheese.
  • Monosodium glutamate (MSG).
  • Strong odors.
  • Chocolate.

*Participants must be at least 18 years of age and in generally good health.

*Women who may be pregnant or nursing a child are not appropriate candidates for a research study at PRI.
