Summary:

A research study is currently underway to learn if a new investigational drug may help relieve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D). Study doctors want to learn if it may help control your IBS-D symptoms, including abdominal (belly) pain and discomfort.


You may be eligible to participate if you:
- Are 18 to 65 years old
- Have had IBS-D (irritable bowel syndrome with frequent diarrhea) for at least 6 months
- Have no history of inflammatory or immune-mediated GI disorders including, but not limited to, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, microscopic colitis, and celiac disease)


Qualified Participants May Receive:

During your participation, you’ll receive 4 weeks of study medication or placebo in the form of tablets that you’ll take twice per day. You’ll also receive study-related medical care at no cost to you
