Clinical Trial 42966

Teaneck, NJ 7666

What is neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (AMD)?

Neovascular age-related macular degeneration, also called wet AMD, is a chronic eye disorder that causes blurred vision or vision loss. Wet AMD is generally caused by abnormal blood vessels that leak fluid or blood into the macula. The macula is in the part of the retina responsible for central vision.

What is the purpose of the (wet) age-related macular degeneration (AMD) study?

The ALTISSIMO clinical research study is evaluating the safety and potential effectiveness of an investigational drug for wet AMD that may offer the potential for people living with wet AMD to have fewer injections than the current standard of care options.

Is study participation an option for you?

You may be able to participate in the ALTISSIMO study if you:

  • Are 50 years of age and older
  • Have been diagnosed with wet AMD
  • Meet additional requirements as determined by a screening process

Clinical trials are medical research studies designed to test the safety and/or effectiveness of new investigational drugs, devices, or treatments in humans. These studies are conducted worldwide for a range of conditions and illnesses. Learn more about clinical research and participating in a study at About Clinical Trials.
