A clinical research study is currently enrolling adults ages 18 and older who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and are currently being treated with insulin to take part in this clinical research study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a once-weekly study drug compared to insulin lispro three times daily, when added on to basal insulin glargine treatment, with or without metformin, in adults with type 2 diabetes.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
• Have been treated for at least 90 days with once or twice daily basal insulin with or without metformin at or more than 1500 mg/day


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Qualified participants will receive either study drug or insulin lispro, as well as study-related exams, study-related laboratory tests, and study-related medications, at no cost. Compensation for travel may be available as well.
