Summary:

This is a placebo-controlled outpatient study that assess the efficacy of an investigational compound for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder. The study consists of a 4-week treatment period, in which patients will have to discontinue all current antidepressant therapies and be assigned to receive the investigational compound or placebo. Following completion of the treatment period, there is 2-week follow up period. There are approximately 8 study visits throughout this study.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be between the ages of 18-65
• Have a diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder and be experiencing a worsening of depressive symptoms in the past 2 years
• Have a history of treatment with antidepressant therapy
• Be medically stable
