Study Summary:

This a 15 month (12 month RX) study with up to 11 visits.

The study is seeking subjects with Type I or Type II Diabetes that also have mild to moderate Asthma or COPD.

The study is evaluating the safety and efficacy of an Inhaled Insulin study drug versus standard of care medications for Type I or Type II Diabetes in subjects that have mild to moderate Asthma or COPD.

Current Insulin users may be assigned to the Inhaled Insulin study group and may receive an adjustment to their Insulin regimen.

No placebo is involved with the study.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18-70 years of age
• Have diabetes for more than 12 months (medical clinical diagnosis)
• Be a non-smoker for at least 6 months
• Have a HbA1c blood result of >7% and less than or equal to 10%.
• Not use Symlin or Vyetta for your Diabetes (90 day wash-out)
• Not have previously used an Inhaled Insulin product
• Insulin pump users excluded
• Not be on supplemental oxygen

Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study related medical care and laboratory exams at no cost. Glucometer, testing supplies, and inhaled insulin study drug provided by study. Up to $500.00 to qualified subjects that complete entire study.
