Study Summary:

We are currently conducting a study to determine if an IV investigational drug is more effective at treating the pain of OA than two NSAID medications that are already FDA approved. The study drug will be given through an IV every 8 weeks and a NSAID medication will be taken by mouth twice daily. A 1 year study with 12 office visits.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Be on a stable dose of Naproxen 1000mg/day or Celebrex 200mg/day within the past month
• Not have any history of gout, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, or bipolar disorders
• Not have a history of significant trauma or surgery to the knee within the past year
• Not have a history of cancer within the past 5 years
• Not have a history of Hepatitis or HIV
• Not been on steroids or have had any steroid injections within the past 30 days
