Summary:

Mayo Clinic is Seeking Participants for Studies Investigating Human Muscle Metabolism (Scottsdale, AZ)

We are currently seeking participants for a research project examining the roles of nutrition and exercise in regulating the metabolism of protein in muscles of overweight individuals.

Research procedures involve sampling of blood and muscle. Need availability for 3-4 full days visit to Mayo Clinic Arizona, in Scottsdale - Clinical Studies Unit.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 - 45 years of age
• Be either Lean or Overweight/with Obesity
• Have BMI 18.0 - 26.0 or 32.0 - 45.0
• Be Apparently Healthy


Qualified Participants May Receive:

If qualified, monetary compensation is provided in addition to the following, which is paid for by the research study:

• Blood Work

• Dietary Analysis

• Cardiovascular Fitness Test

• Evaluation of daily Physical Activity
