Study Summary:
This is a 42 month long study to compare the safety and long term effects of three nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that are currently on the market in patients with either osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis who also have cardiovascular disease or risk factors for developing cardiovascular disease.
Qualified Participants Must:
• Be 18 years of age or older
•
Have either osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis and who also have cardiovascular disease or risk factors for developing cardiovascular disease
•
Be on a daily therapy with a pain medication at least six months prior to first visit
Qualified Participants May Receive:
Physical exams, lab work, and study medication. Patients will receive compensation once qualified for the study.
