Study Summary:

We are currently conducting a clinical research trial for Adolescents who are experiencing symptoms of Bipolar Depression using a medication that has been previously approved for adolescent use. Bipolar Depression causes unusual mood changes that persist and interfere with an adolescent's ability to function. During high moods he/she may be irritable, unable to sleep, or talk too much. During Low moods he/she may be sad, lose of interest in activities and frequently complains of aches and pains.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be male or female
• Be 10-17 years of age
• Be currently experiencing more of the "low" mood symptoms


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study related labs, office visits, and study medication at no cost.
