Summary:

North Carolina Clinical Research is enrolling an investigational study to test the safety of a commonly prescribed oral medication that is being evaluated in an inhaled form.  You will receive either 2 doses of the study medication or 2 doses of Placebo.  

 

 



To qualify participants must be:

  • Ages 18 - 55
  • Healthy by medical history and physical exam
  • Using one or more of the following asthma medications:
    • Albuterol Rescue Inhaler ( Ventolin, Proventil or ProAir )
    • Singulair ( Montelukast )
    • Inhaled steroid at a low dose ( Flovent, QVAR, Pulmicort, Asmanex or Arnuity )
  • NOT using any other daily medications ( Birth control and Hormone replacement are allowed )
  • Normal height to weight ratio ( BMI 18 - 35 )
  • A Non-Smoker with limited smoking history 
  • Negative on a drug screen

Qualified Participants May Receive:

Compensation for a qualified subject is up to $2500.  

Study involves a 5-day and 5-night stay at the research site ( 24/7 ).

Private room with WIFI and meals provided.
