Summary:
The Johns Hopkins CIR is looking for healthy volunteers to participate in an inpatient Shigella challenge study. The study is 3 months long with 1 inpatient stay or 9 months long with 2 inpatient stays.
Qualified Participants Must:
• Be 18-50 years old
• be available for 2 screening visits
• one or two ten-day inpatient stays*
• 4-5 follow up visits after each inpatient stay*not everyone will be chosen for the 2nd inpatient stay.
Qualified Participants May Receive:
Up to $4950 for one inpatient stay; up to $9100 for two inpatient stays
