According to research, 8% of the U.S. population will experience post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in their lifetime. With PTSD affecting so many people, finding the right care is crucial for those struggling.
If you’ve experienced a traumatic event within the past 9 years along with persistent symptoms for at least 6 months, you could qualify for a PTSD clinical research study testing the effectiveness of a new investigational drug.
You may qualify for participation if you:
- Are 18 to 65 years old
- Have been experiencing symptoms of PTSD for 6 months or longer
- Have had a primary traumatic event that happened within the past 9 years
You may not qualify for participation if you:
- Have received brexpiprazole in a prior clinical study
- Are currently taking Rexulti, or commercialized brexpiprazole
- Have had a primary traumatic event that happened before age 16
- Are currently enduring abuse or have experienced a traumatic event within the last 3 months
- Are currently experiencing a major depressive episode
- Have one of the following conditions:
- Bipolar I or II disorder
- Schizophrenia
- An anxiety disorder that has been the primary focus of psychiatric treatment within 6 months
- Cardiovascular disease
- HIV
There are other requirements to join this study, which a representative will discuss with you at screening.
