Study Summary:

54 week, double blind, controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of an oral antidiabetic monotherapy in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Chronic Renal Insufficiency who have inadequate glycemic control.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Must have Type 2 diabetes mellitus
• Must have Moderate, severe or end stage renal insufficiency with one or more of the following: creatinine clearance between 30 and 50 mL/min, creatinine clearance less than 30 mL/min or on dialysis
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must NOT have Type I diabetes or history of ketoacidosis
• Must not have a history of malignancy

Qualified Participants May Receive:

$60 per completed visit, up to $840 for 14 visits.
