Summary:
Adults With Obstructive Sleep Apnea Needed for a Clinical Trial
A clinical research site is enrolling healthy individuals with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) for a clinical study to assess the safety of an investigational medication. Qualified individuals may be eligible to receive a stipend of up to $2,000 for participation in this study. Participants in the Houston area may be eligible to receive an additional $700 for time and travel, totaling a stipend of up to $2,700.
This study consists of 1 in-person screening visit, 1 in-person visit (in which participants stay overnight at the San Antonio site location), and 1 follow-up visit (by phone or video). Qualified individuals will be given anesthesia during the overnight in-person visit.
You may qualify for participation if you:
- Are between 18 and 65 years of age and have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)
- Are in good health and have normal blood pressure
- Are a non-smoker
- Have a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 38.5
- Do not regularly take over-the-counter medications or supplements
There are other qualifications needed for enrollment in this study. Study staff will discuss them with you after you apply for participation.
