Summary:

The study consists of a 10 week treatment period followed by a 26 week maintenance phase. Patients will be required to have a total of 4 endoscopies

during the trial. Patients will be paid $45.00 for clinic visit stipends, and $450.00 for each endoscopy. There is no charge to the patient for any visit or tests

that are conducted in the study.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 years of age or older and have experienced heartburn and regurgitation and have evidence of erosive esophagitis based on an upper GI endoscopy
• All patients will have to meet all inclusion/exclusion criteria to enroll in the study


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study medication, lab tests, ECGs, physical exams, endoscopies, and clinic visits. Visit stipends are paid for all completed clinic visits and endoscopies.
