Study Summary:

To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the investigational drug, silodosin, compared to placebo for the treatment of the symptoms of BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia). With an open label extension of 9 months during which all patients will receive active medication.

Qualified Participants Must:

• be males of at least 50 years of age
• have lower urinary tract symptoms of BPH (frequency, urgency, urinating at night)
• have no previous prostate surgeries
• have no history of prostate cancer

Qualified Participants May Receive:

$360.00 for completion of study
