Study Summary:

The study is investigating the link between father’s alcohol drinking habits and his child’s social thinking skills. Your participation will involve attending one visit to Kennedy Krieger Institute, which will last one hour. Multiple stories will be read to the child, and then the child will be asked questions about the stories. The parents will fill out a questionnaire regarding the history of their alcohol consumption and take a test on how well they can guess people’s emotions. (Confidentiality is protected.)


Qualified Participants Must:

• Typically developing children, ages 8-15 years, and their biological mother and father, ages 25-60 years.
