Study Summary:

There is emerging evidence that Ketamine may have rapid antidepressant properties for patients with severe mood disorders. In this study we are investigating whether Ketamine can have an antidepressant effect compared to Midazolam. The study period will last up to 6 weeks, depending on your response to the study medication. There are two required overnight stays.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 21-80 years of age
• Have been given a diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder
• Not have responded to past treatments


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study-related care and study medication at no cost, and will be reimbursed for participation.
