Study Summary:

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of subcutaneous Study Drug in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Patients can be on diet and exercise, with or without metformin monotherapy.

This is approximately a 4 month study that will require the study participant to visit the site about once weekly. The study participant must also be willing to undergo Meal Tolerance Testing.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Have a HGBA1c between 7 and 10
• Have a BMI between 25 and 40
• Be between the ages of 20 and 75
• Be drug naive or on metformin only
• Be willing to have a subcutaneous injection for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes
• Cannot have a history of TB
• Cannot currently be treated with anti-inflammatory agents

Qualified Participants May Receive:

Up to $1,200 for time and travel, all study related medications, supplies, physical exams, lab testing, x-rays, etc.
