Study Summary:

Do you have Arthritis in you Knee or Hip? Volunteer for a clinical research study in our Goose Creek office.

This research study is testing the effectiveness and safety of an investigational medication that is administered by infusion once every 8 weeks. It will be compared to oral naproxen (which is current prescribed for arthritis) and placebo (inactive substance).

To qualify you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have arthritis of the knee or hip
  • Have moderate to severe arthritis pain
Duration: Up to 16 visits over 32 weeks

Qualified participants will receive all the following at no cost:
  • Study related physical exams
  • Study medication
  • Nerve conduction studies by board certified neurologist (also in Goose Creek)
  • Lab work
  • X-rays (if needed)
  • Electrocardiograms (ECGs), which is a test that measures the electrical activity of the heart
Qualified participants will receive compensation up to $1,225 for time and travel expenses.
