Study Summary:

A multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study of the efficacy and safety of Rilonacept for the prophylaxis of Gout Flares during the initiation of Allopurinol therapy.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 - 80 years of age
• Have a history of at least 2 gout flares within the previous year
• Be able to receive treatment with allopurinol
• Not currently be experiencing a gout flare

Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study medicine as well as study-related medical evaluations at no cost.
