Clinical Trial 6115

Hainesport, NJ 08037

Study Summary:

Controlling your blood sugar levels can often become a challenge, even with medication, diet, and exercise. Additionally, the inconvenience of multiple daily doses required by other medications can disrupt your daily routine. Now, the HARMONY program is evaluating the effectiveness of an investigational type 2 diabetes medication, which could require less frequent dosings than currently available treatments. The investigational drug being evaluated in the HARMONY program is called albiglutide. This novel medication comes from a new class of drugs, which are similar to some types of currently approved diabetes drugs. However, albiglutide is designed to have a much longer-lasting effect. Whereas some current diabetes medications must be administered multiple times a day by injection, researchers are expecting that one weekly injection of albiglutide will prove to be effective in helping control type 2 diabetes.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
• Be having trouble controlling your blood sugar levels

Qualified Participants May Receive:

Qualified participants will receive study treatment as well as study-related medical evaluations and tests at no cost.

Clinical trials are medical research studies designed to test the safety and/or effectiveness of new investigational drugs, devices, or treatments in humans. These studies are conducted worldwide for a range of conditions and illnesses. Learn more about clinical research and participating in a study at About Clinical Trials.
