Study Summary:

Researchers are conducting a clinical research study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug, aliskiren, for patients who are over 18 years of age and have essential hypertension (high blood pressure). Patients will receive aliskiren or a placebo. Placebo is a tablet that contains no medicine. Aliskiren is an investigational drug, which means that it is being tested and is not approved for sale in the United States by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). simple hit counter


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have Doctor’s diagnosis of essential hypertension (high blood pressure)


Qualified Participants May Receive:

All study related care, including doctor visits, laboratory services, and study medication at no charge.
