Study Summary:

Therapeutic Area: Neurology / Parkinson’s disease

Trial Information:

A prospective, multi-center, randomized, open-label study with blinded raters to evaluate the effects of immediate versus delayed switch to StalevoÒ on motor function and quality of life in patients with Parkinson’s disease with end-of-dose wearing off.

The purpose of the study is to assess changes in motor function and quality of life, in patients with Parkinson’s disease who are experiencing end-of- dose wearing off.

Eligibility Criteria:
• Age 30-80
• Diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease
• Be taking a stable dose of immediate release carbidopa / levodopa (Sinemet) for 1 month prior to study entry.
