Study Summary:

A clinical study to assess the effectiveness and safety of Teplizumab (MGA031), in children and adults with recent-onset Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus.


Qualified Participants Must:

• *Diagnosis of diabetes mellitus according to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) criteria *Written informed consent obtained from the subject. *Diagnosis to have occured within the previous 10 weeks (**note to sponsor & IRB we understand there is a 12 week window between diagnosis and study day 0, therefore we would like to show a shortened window so that we as a site have ample time to fully enroll the subject before the expiration window) *Currently receiving insulin therapy *8–35 years old *Body weight > 79 lbs *Willing to forego other forms of experimental treatment during the study
