Study Summary:

DB-DD Placebo controlled parallel group study to assess the efficacy and safety of different doses of Indecaterol in adult patients with persistent asthma, using salmeterol as an active control.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have persistent asthma for greater than 12 months
• Be on a stable dose for greater than 1 month prior to visit 1 FEV1 >50%<90% at visit 2
• Not have a URI within 6 weeks of Visit 1 Not have a history of smoking greater than 10 pack years using greater than 8 puffs of rescue medications per day

Qualified Participants May Receive:
