Study Summary:

This study will assess how well a study medicine works for people who experience excessive sleepiness associated with shift work disorder (SWD).

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 to 65 years of age
• Be diagnosed with SWD
• Work at least 5 night shifts per month
• Work at least 3 consecutive night shifts per month
• Work a shift similar to 12 midnight to 8 AM
• Experience excessive sleepiness late in your shift and during the commute home

Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study-related tests and monitoring. You may take 1 of 2 study medicines, the active study drug or a placebo (sugar pill). You may learn more about the impact of working the night shift on your health.
