Clinical Trial 8574

San Diego, CA 92123

Study Summary:

This clinical research study is evaluating the effectiveness of an investigational birth control pill for treating menstually-related migraine headaches (headaches that occur just before or during the first few days of your menstrual period). Non-smoking women 18-34 years of age who meet study criteria may qualify. This study is approximately 20 weeks long with 5 study visits and compares an investigational drug to placebo, a look alike drug that does not have an active medicine. Although the investigational drug is a birth control pill, the purpose of this study is not to prevent pregnancy, so you must be willing to use a non-hormonal form of birth control for the duration of the study. You will have a 50/50 chance of receiving the investigational birth control pill. Compensation may be available for time and travel.

Clinical trials are medical research studies designed to test the safety and/or effectiveness of new investigational drugs, devices, or treatments in humans. These studies are conducted worldwide for a range of conditions and illnesses. Learn more about clinical research and participating in a study at About Clinical Trials.
