Study Summary:

This is a Phase III double-blind trial of an oral medication for the treatment of RA/rheumatoid arthritis.

The study is 52-weeks long followed by a 2 year open label extension.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Have a confirmed diagnosis of RA/rheumatoid arthritis
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have at least 4 tender and 4 swollen joints and be taking medication for the treatment of RA/rheumatoid arthritis on a daily basis
• Have been seen by a rheumatologist in the last 12 months
• Be able to walk
• Not be pregnant or lactating
• Not have HIV, Hep B or Hep C positive or be taking more than 10mg of corticosteroids per day
