Study Summary:

The Rippe Lifestyle Institute in Celebration, FL is conducting a research study for healthy men and women to determine the effects of varying amounts of high fructose corn syrup or sucrose (table sugar) on metabolism as part of a 10 week weight maintenance plan (additional 2 weeks of pre-qualification and preparation).


Qualified Participants Must:

• Have a BMI of 21-35 Kg/M2
• Not use tobacco or nicotine containing products
• Not have diabetes
• Not be lactose intolerant
• Be willing to consume sweetened milk (1% lowfat) on a daily basis - chocolate and vanilla flavors available
• Be willing to make 15 total day-time trips and complete two separate 24-hour stays in the metabolic unit to receive $500 compensation
• Optionally: Be willing to make 15 total day-time trips, complete two separate 24-hour stays in the metabolic unit, and make 2 trips to Sand Lake Imaging for liver CT scan and muscle MRI to receive $850 compensation


Qualified Participants May Receive:

$300-$850 compensation, complete blood work results, OGTT (Oral Glucose Tolerance Test), body composition analysis (DEXA scan), free chocolate or vanilla flavored milk (1% lowfat), dietary analysis (work with registered dietitian).
