Research Site Introduction:

South Carolina Clinical Research is a privately owned clinical research facility founded in 2000 by a group of seven actively practicing physicians. These physicians and their staff work to provide the Columbia area and our surrounding communities with groundbreaking medical treatment options through ongoing clinical research trials.

Research Site Description:

SC Clinical Research recently moved to a state of the art, 4,000 square foot facility adjacent to Baptist Hospital in downtown Columbia. Office features include: Wireless DSL throughout the office, On-site storage of all documents, Designated private monitoring spaces, Protocol specific source documents, Low query rates with rapid resolution, Timely enrollment with goals met, Professional marketing consultants for recruiting,EKG, Bone density of the hip and spine, Ultrasound(including 3D), Phlebotomy and lab processing, Office microscopy, Colposcopy with photography, Pregnancy testing, Full obstetric and gynecologic diagnostic services, Urodynamics, In office endometrial ablation and hysteroscopy, and Sonohysterography

Patient Demographics:

The broad scope of our services and over 20 years of medical practice in the Columbia area create a large patient database from which to select potential trial participants. Our private patient database exceeds 49,000 patients and our active private patient database exceeds 19,000 patients. We have successfully used recruitment campaigns in the past.

Additional Information:

We currently employ four Research Coordinators, all of which are certified by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). In a recent study, we were identified as one of the top four sites with the highest patient retention rates.
