Research Site Introduction:

Dr. Jose Luis Diaz is our Medical Director and PI. Dr. Diaz has over a decade experience diagnosing and treating disorders of the lungs. He is well respected throughout the medical community and serves as Chairman of the Pulmonary Division at Central Florida Health Alliance as well as the healthcare system’s Chairman of the Special Care and the Antibiotic Committee. Press Ganey Associates, a national health improvement firm, recently ranked Dr. Diaz in the top 10% nationally for patient satisfaction. Dr. Diaz has been a Principal Investigator on many clinical trials and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Research Site Description:

One of the things that makes us stand out from other sites is the involvement of our Principal Investigator – Dr. Faisal Fakih (who by the way is bilingual in English and Spanish). Dr. Fakih is a TRIPLE BOARD CERTIFIED PHYSICIAN who practices internal medicine, pulmonary disease and sleep disorders. Dr. Fakih is passionate about conducting research and he deeply cares about improving the lives of his patients. He has been practicing in the Orlando area for over 30 years so the majority of our subjects come from his private practice.

Over the years we have built a large database of patients so we usually randomize subjects within 2 weeks of site initiation, and we have been consistently named a top enrolling site. Nowadays, we are conducting trials in Asthma, COPD, Bronchiectasis, Insomnia and Gout which are our main areas of interest in research trials.

Patient Demographics:

Our Phase I-IV multi-specialty research center was founded in 2013. Since then we have conducted over 25 trials, often exceeding Sponsor expectations for difficult trials by carefully pre-screening highly qualified patients and creatively overcoming challenges with a “can do” positive attitude. We hold preferred partnership status with several major CRO’s and pharmaceutical sponsors. We also have an in-house full body plethysmography PFT’s. The primary focus of our dedicated team of professionals is to ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of our patients.

Our mission is to consistently produce quality data, while meeting and exceeding our enrollment goals in order to establish long term working relationships with our Sponsors and CRO’s. We’re dedicated to high standards of excellence and professionalism; therefore we invest heavily in our staff and our facility. Our goal is to become the premiere site for Medical Research in the Central Florida region.
