    History:
    Rainier Clinical Research Center (RCRC) was founded by Dr. Ronald Brazg and Dr. Leslie Klaff as a private endocrinology practice over 30 years ago. With a focus on advancing treatments for diabetes, RCRC has evolved into a leading center for clinical trials, specializing in research on Continuous Glucose Monitors, Insulin Pumps, and Glucose Meters. Through our work and dedicated staff, our center has contributed to improving care and management strategies for diabetes , vaccines, and other metabolic disorders. RCRC continues to expand its expertise by continuously exploring new indications to study.

    Our purpose-built research facility, ideally located between downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport, is equipped with all the latest equipment and amenities.

    • Scientific-grade specimen and drug storage refrigerators and freezers (-80 and -20) with ambient storage, 24/7 alarm system, and backup generator

    Rainier Clinical Research Center serves a diverse patient population in the Seattle metropolitan area, including Renton, Bellevue, Tacoma, and surrounding communities. Our participants come from a variety of backgrounds.

    Key Demographics:

        Age Range: Primarily adults (18–75), with a mix of younger and older participants based on study criteria.
        Health Conditions: Strong representation of individuals managing diabetes (Type 1 & 2), obesity, high cholesterol, hypertension, and metabolic disorders, as well as healthy volunteers for select trials.
        Ethnic & Cultural Diversity: Seattle is home to a richly diverse population, including Caucasian, Asian, Hispanic/Latino, African American, and Pacific Islander communities, enabling inclusive clinical research.

    Rainier Clinical Research Center specializes in studies focused on diabetes (Type 1 & Type 2), obesity and weight loss medications, high cholesterol, and other metabolic disorders. Our research also includes continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), insulin delivery systems, and innovative treatments aimed at improving long-term health outcomes. We occasionally enroll healthy volunteers for select trials. We believe medical advancements should benefit everyone.
