Study Summary:

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of pregabalin compared to placebo in reducing neuropathic pain associated with HIV neuropathy.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have documented evidence of HIV-1 infection
• Have documented diagnosis of HIV-associated Distal Symmetrical Polyneuropathy (DSP) with subjective sensory symptom of pain
• Have pain that starts in the feet

Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study related care, diagnostic tests, and study medication at no cost. Payment for time and travel to the study center may be provided.
