Clinical Trial 1114

Durham, NC 27705

Summary:

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of an oral nicotine solution to help smokers quit smoking, compared to a placebo solution.

There are a total of 12 visits over 6 months. The first is a screening visit which will last approximately 3 hours. Next there are 9 laboratory visits, and 2 follow up visits, 3 and 6 months after your quit date.

If you are approved for the study, you will set a quit smoking date within 14 days of enrollment. The day before the quit date, you will come to the lab for your visit 1. Following the quit date you will come in for 8 weekly visits.
